Between October 26 – 28, 2022, the 1st International Joint Conference “BLUE GROWTH: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE BLACK SEA” Conference organized by NIMRD, GEOECOMAR and OVIDIUS University from Romania that took place to celebrate International Black Sea Day. During the poster-type presentations, the Romanian partner of the project in the Black Sea area – the Maritime Hydrographic Directorate – presented two papers as the QUIETSEAS Project results, in two distinct sessions.
1. Session I: Oceanography, Marine Geology and GeoEcology, Moderator – GeoEcoMar, paper “SPATIAL AND TEMPORAL VARIABILITY OF AMBIENT UNDERWATER SOUND IN THE NORTHWESTERN BLACK SEA”.
2. Session IV: Observing the Black Sea, Moderator – GeoEcoMar “QUIETSEAS – Assisting (sub)regional cooperation for the practical implementation of the MSFD second cycle by providing methods and tools for D11 (underwater noise)”.
